2017 Hays Eco-Meet Results

The 2017 Hays ECO-MEET was held on Thursday, October 5.

10 teams of 38 students from 5 schools competed.

Winning Teams:

1st Place: Stockton High School

L-R: coach Andrew Ables, Trent Howell, Madalyn Billinger, Tierney Kester, and Trey Kuhlman.
Each team member received a $100 scholarship award.

2nd Place: Goodland A

L-R: Coach Brian Coon, Ella Ihrig, Kaitlyn Townsend, Sadie McCary, Renae Hageman, and Coach Jeff First.
Each team member received a $75 scholarship award.

3rd Place: Palco High School “B”

L-R: Haley Keller, Isabella Simoneau, Shaylee Benoit, Riley Wells, and coach Richard Robinson (not pictured).
Each team member received a $50 scholarship award.

Focus Area Winners – Reptiles & Amphibians:

1st Place: Renae Hageman, Goodland High School A

Renae received a $75 scholarship award and a one-year membership to the Kansas Herpetological Society.

2nd Place: Trent Howell, Stockton High School

Trent Howell received a $50 scholarship award and a year-long membership to the Kansas Herpetological Society.

Focus Area Winners – Tallgrass Prairie:

1st Place: Lilly Duncan, Thomas Moore Prep

Lilly Duncan received a $75 scholarship award.

2nd Place: Sadie McCary, Goodland High School “A”

 

Sadie McCary received a $50 scholarship award.
