The 2017 Hutchinson ECO-MEET was held on Tuesday, October 3.
6 teams made up of 23 students from 3 schools competed.
Winning Teams:
1st Place: Inman High School “A”
L-R: Dakota Parkhurst, Max Harman, Damion Raney, Kaylee Wedel, and coach Daniel Knapp.
Each team member received a $100 scholarship award.
2nd Place: Inman High School “B”
L-R: Claire Theissen, Dayton Real, Landen Snyder, Dantlie Raney, and Coach Daniel Knapp.
Each team member received a $75 scholarship award.
3rd Place: Pratt High School
L-R: Bridget Kiley, Drew Taylor, Reese McDonald, Coach Joy Schmidt.
Each team member received a $50 scholarship award.
Focus Area Winners – Reptiles & Amphibians:
1st Place: Max Harmon, Inman High School
Max received two $75 scholarship awards and a year-long membership to the Kansas Herpetological Society.
2nd Place: Ruby Howell, Pratt High School
Ruby received a $50 scholarship award and a year-long membership to the Kansas Herpetological Society.
Focus Area Winners – Tallgrass Prairie:
1st Place: Max Harmon, Inman High School
Max received two $75 scholarship awards and a year-long membership to the Kansas Herpetological Society.
2nd Place: Dakota Parkhurst, Inman High School
Dakota received a $50 scholarship award.
